About LGA Economic Forum
The LGA Economic Forum is a not-for-profit, non-partisan and apolitical organisation with the sole purpose of championing and focusing attention on local governments as a means to bring about grassroots development. It is concerned with the welfare of citizens at the local level and the reform of the Nigerian economy into an open, community-based one that is globally competitive and sustainable.
Through seminars, conferences and workshops, the forum will put forward workable and implementable ideas and programmes aimed at facilitating social and economic growth at the grassroots level. The forum will bring together local and town unions, private sector organisations, and the public sector in this effort to revitalise Nigeria’s local economies.
The forum is an initiative of the Osigwe Anyiam-Osigwe Foundation. The Foundation promotes a holistic approach to human existence and development. It was established based on the principles of the Nigerian philosopher, philanthropist and businessman Emmanuel Onyechere Osigwe Anyiam-Osigwe.
